You know when that lump in your throat weighs so much on you that swallowing a toad would be easier? And in that moment you would do everything to get rid of it, so it almost always ends up that the lump tells to the first unfortunates you find in front of you, to go to hell.

“Ma’am, sorry, can you tell me where this place is?”

“No, I don’t” replies the lump.

“Hi Cri, how are you?”

“Bad, I’m feeling bad! Because you can’t see it.” the lump answers

“Hello I’d like to try that shirt in the showcase…”

“It’s gone, it’s over.” the lump answers.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, get out evil lump… get out of that body.

Ehm… It’s okay, don’t worry ehm… these are the usual exorcising dialogues against the unknown persistent squeezer, commonly called lump.

But what is it really? Have you ever asked to yourself?

Because if we recognized it, we could easily cast it out!

It’s by giving precisely the right name to our emotions that we can unmask them. Perhaps sometimes, we are afraid of really seeing them.

My lump, for example, is called anger. Yes, I’m angry, but so angry that I can’t get it out. If I think about it, however, this emotion of mine is linked to events that happened in the past and so how can I get rid of it, if it belongs to a time that no longer exists?

I could make a phone call to Doc Brown maybe the Time Machine is the solution! Or I could ask to Harry Potter for advice… maybe he can really turn the lump into a tiny toad. No, even better I call Mary Poppins, inside her magical bag she’ll surely have the right remedy.

I wish!! Imagine if they’ll hear me! They are always so busy fixing the world.

Okay, I just have to make peace with my anger. Excuse me just a moment…

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
