Like a hedgehog

At the beginning you feel yourself nude and vulnerable without your suite, like a hedgehog without spines. It’s not easy to indulge in your fragility, so often you think about that cabinet and you are imagining how to get back your suite. It comes to your mind the most unlikely things to do:

1) pretend you’re the housekeeper, after having muzzled and tied the real one in a closet;

2) rob the nurse’s gown and leave her your grandmother’s nightgown which you never wear;

3) dress up like a Chinese but in this case the risk of quarantine of the whole building could be too high (please allow and forgive me the humor, it’s clear I’m going mad).

Fortunately at the end you realize it’s enough to go to the hospital and ask to check between “lost objects” to look for what you voluntary let inside.

And here I am, while I’m rummaging through suites I hear a voice:

«Have you lost your courage too?»

I turn around and I see a girl on the wheelchair who was getting close and she was speaking to me.

«Hello, no I’m Judy looking for my suite…»

«Yes, your super heroine suite! I came to find mine few minutes ago, because they told me they serve to be stronger and braver and you know I found it, it’s beautiful burgundy color with a C letter on the chest. Tomorrow I will be on a surgery and so I hope it brings me luck. My name’s Constance and your?»

In a while I’ve thought I’d be perfect in the role of “invisible woman” but I was so ashamed that everybody could see me anyway.

«Costance… what a beautiful name! My name’s Cristiana and I guess I took the wrong cabinet. I was looking for something to save me from the “cold” and I believed I left here my impermeable suite… nothing special, not special like the suite you chose. I’m sure it will bring as luck to you as it worked for me.»

I shake her hand for greeting and quickly I get out from hospital empty- handed but with a good lesson on my pocket.

“There’s no way back and if you feel yourself vulnerable you need to think that spines will be grow again and stronger, just give them time.”
