The pixie of memory

I’ve been looking for a particular thing for days and, damn, I can’t find it.

Yet, I remember putting it somewhere in the house, but I don’t remember exactly where.

So, I looked everywhere… even inside the fridge and under the bed, at least I guess, well, I started laughing alone, the situation was on the borderline between something like comic and madness.

I’ve always liked to think that there’s the hand of a small goblin who hides things from us and who laughs at seeing us wandering around the house like truffle dogs and then letting us find that lost object in the most incredible way or putting it just under our nose.

In fact, my grandmother told me that if I wanted to find something, I had to stop looking for it, so the pixie would no longer have fun and the object would magically reappear.

So over the years, many times happened to me to go to work by bicycle because I couldn’t find the car keys, or going outside and buy somethings I needed in the immediate.

In short, I listened to my grandmother and I found myself with Coppi’s calves, with a rip in my wallet and a bunch of keys like the ones of Hazzard’s sheriff, so maybe this time, I should keep looking.

«No, ther’s a goblin, a pixie and he’s hiding my glasses. I’ve been looking for them all day long, this time I’m not going to buy them once again!»
