That icy wind

Anna loves to arrange her hair, she likes it with a little volume.

One morning, in front of the mirror, with the brush in hand, she realizes that she has a slightly swollen but painless gland in his neck.

“How strange …” she thinks, “maybe I took a blow, I’m going to get checked”.

Cristiana has always had an irregular cycle and that month was even missed.

“Who knows if it’s the right time I got pregnant, I have to make an appointment with my doctor” she says smiling.

Lucia wears padded bras, she doesn’t like being flat, she defines her bust as a nice surfboard. That day in the shower, she feels like a pebble in her left breast.

“I have such small breasts that I can feel the edge of a bone. But which one? Maybe I need to get an X-ray.” She thought, snorting.

Suddenly winter arrived in these three souls dressed in summer and with its cutting wind, it stripped them of the heat of the sun.

Sitting in the therapy room, these three women talk about their feelings with grimaces on their faces that appear as a shy smile. The smile of someone who knows that she’s fighting a tough battle and that she must not give up.

“I feel so cold!” Anna said.

“I feel so naked…” Cristiana said.

“I don’t have the strength, that’s because of the red one.” Lucia said.

Cancer offended them, but it failed to appropriate their summers. Prevention combined with their courage, saved them.

Yet, that cold wind remains.
