In the registry office: Marta

Leggi in italiano

Marta loves looking at herself before the mirror… she does it especially when she is alone at home.

In her mother’s drawer there is a cosmetic bag full of make-up and she really likes to refine her face with lipstick and some eyeshadow.

Then she chooses a dress and wears it with the emotion of a young bride, she feels beautiful… she is beautiful in those clothes.

But, when she comes out of those walls, she feels uncomfortable, as if she is constantly in the spotlight, in the the people’s eyes there’s disapproval but no one asked her.

She wants to be like everyone else, she doesn’t understand why following her heart can hurt her so much, instead of finally feeling free.

The transformation of her body, into what she has always been destined for, cost her a lot of courage, physical suffering and unparalleled willpower. Now it’s Marta and the only thing she hasn’t considered well is the fact that she can’t be like anyone else… because she is so much more.

Having understood and respected her true essence, it made her special!

Perhaps this is why people observe it… mediocrity and prejudices belong to many… while the freedom of expression of one’s feelings is a luxury for the few, even in this new millennium.

So it will only take a little time to overcome this discomfort, because when a soul is in motion it involuntarily creates discomfort for all those who live with their feet glued to concrete. But in the end, Marta has won her biggest battles and all she has to do is just smile… and that discomfort will slowly fade away.

You think… how much wealth is hidden behind the smile of those who struggle every day, to shorten the distance between belief and becoming, and finally feel happy.

      …tanta ignoranza
      …e ipocrisia!
