You never stop getting to know each other…
When you have reached a certain level of maturity, you think to know everything about yourself and this makes you so sure that you have no doubts.
So I can say with certainty that: I like peppers (even if they go up and down for hours); pizza (if the world falls apart it’s not Saturday if you don’t eat a pizza); I love to walk (shoes have to be comfortable though); I love animals (I have a hairy daughter named Penelope called Penny); I’m an incurable dreamer (here I could improve by eating less at dinner).
Then it happens that an unexpected gust of wind arrives (at best, this wind is high, dark, with dark eyes. Other times, unfortunately, it’s an unpleasant event) and all certainties collapse as if they were a house of cards.
Panic.
Thinking about the pleasant event (because we have to adapt to everything else), suddenly you find yourself eating anything (until the day before you were on a diet), discover new flavors that you completely ignored (well the barbecue sauce is really good ), you also walk in heels (who put two steaks instead of my feet?) and you no longer dream at night because you are so tired that you become one with the bed.
“I don’t recognize myself anymore.”
“And thank goodness!”
You never stop getting to know each other! But that doesn’t have to scare us. Certainties crumble to make room for new awareness. We can learn a lot from life… and discover that only by changing, our big picture will be more and more clear.
Like a twilight lamp, we recharge ourselves with life through experiences and then reflect with our light.
Whether I am white or yellow, whether you are red or orange… it doesn’t matter… indeed this is our beauty because it’s always about the light.
