“I’m flyiiiiiiiing…”
It was the fifth day that I was walking and my legs hurt so much that I thought I would drop everything.
I’d just embarked on one of the most important journeys of my life and so much was the enthusiasm that I had not dealt with the reaction of my body to the great physical effort.
But still, I had trained a lot the month before the departure and I had bought some ultra comfortable shoes to tackle the 150 km of that route, that I had decided to travel alone.
“But reality always ignores our expectations, exceeding them or disappointing them” and so I found myself in that hotel room, full of pain and tears with the taste of defeat.
That evening, I fell asleep exhausted, having decided that the next morning I would look for a transfer to the airport, taking the first useful flight and go back home.
Instead… upon awakening, the pain had magically disappeared and my legs were ready to resume the journey.
“How could this have happened? Was I daydreaming?”
I hard pinched my leg and there was no doubt, it was all true! So much true that bruise accompanied me for days.
I felt like having two wings instead of feet (it would seem the Redbull commercial but no… I didn’t drunk it) and every step was like a beat that carried me forward… towards the goal.
I had finally taken off… and this sensation of lightness profuse throughout my body, made me perceive things in a new way.
It was like if the colors of nature were brighter, the scents more intense and everything seemed different to me, as if I were observing it for the first time.
I thought on that night of despair, a benevolent spell had been placed on me, because I had never felt so light in my life.
However, whatever happened, I had received new energy and above all an unexpected dose of positivity and courage, enough to be able to face the journey to the end.
Believe me, no teaching was more useful to me:
“We must never give up and life will always know how to surprise us.”
For example, it gave me wings attached to my feet!
(…nothing to do with those of the God Mercury eh… never let him get angry 🌚, for all the divinities!)

Ti abbraccio forte 😘😘😘
