My dear readers,
how important is for you to pass on a tradition?
I never stopped to think about it, always in a hurry, in a rush and when you sit down on your comfortable chair… it’s not just evening but you got adult.
What a “big” word, we all used to say when we were child:
“When I grow up, I’d like to become an astronaut”
“When I grow up, I’ll end hunger in the world”
“When I grow up, I’ll build the longest bridge on the planet”
And many other dreams and desires that naturally change into:
“I grew up almost without realizing it, I did many things along my way, but nothing to do with the “childhood’s big plans”.
But we always have a connection with those child memories, it’s just a smell… for example the smell of the sauce coming from the kitchen which remind us our mum cooking the best spaghetti in the world. Or an item we keep and pass on for tradition, as if it were the most precious thing in the face of the Earth, because our roots, our memories, our family, are kept there.
It happened to me just the other day, when I felt this unexpected sensation.
I was a little cold and a friend of mine suggested me to put a handkerchief soacked in Olio 31 (an essential oil made with 31 kind of officinal herbs) near my heart, under my T-shirt.
In a while, a memory of my childhood reappeared in my mind, my grandmother Tina gave me soft handkerchiefs with my initials and I was so happy to receive them that I never used for not ruin them. I put them in my drawer with some scented soaps.
You know what? They’re still in that drawer!
So I said to myself:
“I wish to carry on this tradition, I want to create handkerchiefs to gift to someone I love”
I called them “the emotional handkerchiefs” and to start I’m making some, with the image that best represent me right now, Strawberry, the star of my first novel.
A small thin useful object to gift to those we love, therefore for us or for a friend, like an amulet or simply to be kept in the bag, to remind us that the simplest things are the most authentic to be handed down and perhaps also those which are burned in mind.
Do you like my idea?
As soon as they’re ready, it will be my great pleasure to show them to you!
We, women, are tears and words, what better item than a handkerchief could enclose them?

Sono una tua attenta lettrice e in generale amo leggere.
In questo momento storico penso che tutti siamo diventati un po’scrittori, con l’esigenza di parlare in pillola di qualcosa che ci appartenga.
Sono sicura che se tu avessi scritto già nel “titolo” Quale ricordo del passato ancora ti emoziona? Oppure quale emozione ti rappresenta? ” avresti avuto la risposta di PICCOLE SCRITTRICI CRESCONO”..
acquisterò sicuramente uno dei tuoi fazzoletti perché amo l’oggetto originale e pensato.. Anzi.. Per averne notizia? Ne parlerai qui? Hai idea di creare un piccolo spazio di nicchia shop online?

grazie per dedicare del tempo anche alla lettura dei miei racconti. Mi fa molto piacere se ci saranno sempre più persone che decideranno di scrivere, perché attraverso le parole si creano tanti legami invisibili! Personalmente non mi ritengo una scrittrice ma, come sempre amo definirmi, una racconta storie 😊e forse nemmeno tanto improvvisata, ho iniziato a scrivere tanti anni fa. È recente solo la decisione di condividere ciò che scrivo, attraverso il blog e spero davvero che vi allieti. I fazzoletti? Si continuerò a parlarvene e creerò anche un piccolo spazio shop online 🤗, la produzione ahimè è in ritardo a causa del lock down, ma non stavo più nella pelle per la felicità ed ho desiderato iniziare a parlarvene.
